The Comeback Café opened its doors in August of 2005. Initially it shared a space at the corner of Commercial and Main with a gift shop and a menu that offered no more than a half-dozen sandwiches and some drinks. As business grew, wraps and salads were added along with our popular rice pudding and buttermilk brownies. Before long the Café became a hot spot for many Grinnellians to enjoy morning coffee, lunch with friends or ice tea in the afternoon. In September of 2017 we moved to our present location in the historic building on the northwest corner of 4th and Main. With a friendly, dedicated staff and loyal customer base the Comeback Café looks to serve Grinnell for many years to come.
